Description
chim·ney /ˈCHimnē/
noun
a vertical channel or pipe that conducts smoke and combustion gases up from a fire or furnace and typically through the roof of a building.
Synonyms: stack, smokestack, flue, shaft, funnel, vent, lum, femerell.
he part of a chimney that extends above the roof; a chimney stack.
a glass tube that protects the flame of a lamp.
a steep narrow cleft by which a rock face may be climbed.
The 4″ size is the one I have by far the most quantity of, and use the most frequently. The 4″ diameter seems like a lot, but it’s just wide enough to where I feel comfortable leaving it outside in a windy area (places they’ve been secure with no added reinforcement: Scripps Seaside Forum, Palm Springs outdoors, Rancho Las Lomas)
My rule of thumb is to always bring an extra 1-2, no matter what. I’d rather you have it and not need it, then be one chimney short in case of breakage.
