Ah, another COVID wedding where we had to dramatically change our original plans!

Shelby wanted super bright, hot pink flowers- with accents of peach and orange. Dahlia season made that super easy!

Here’s the difference between a bride’s bouquet and a maid’s bouquet. One of the most common questions I get asked is what the difference is- you’ll notice the bride’s bouquet has a lot more luxury ingredients (more garden roses, more dahlias) and it’s just generally bigger in size.

One of the centerpieces

A great budget saving tool is to use centerpieces as down-the-aisle decor! All we need to do is pick ’em up and place them on the reception tables- they get viewed for longer, and it’s free!

The bride requested peonies, and even though they were out of season for her wedding- I found ONE bunch at the market! They were incredibly expensive, and two out of the five in the bunch died before the wedding- so I put two in the bouquet and one in the arch (:

Aldous Photo caught me making final touch ups to the arch! It was INCREDIBLY hot that day- it may have been 103F, and my van overheated on the way up. NOT good when we’re trying to keep flowers perfectly air conditioned.
Also- the arch at Sacred Mountain (they provided it) is so… scary flimsy! Moving forward if ever my couples want flowers on the arch (more than like $400 worth)- I’m requiring them to use one of my arches. It was at an incredibly steep angle during the ceremony and with the wind, I was genuinely worried it would topple over.
